Cryptocoryne wendtii 'long'
Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Long' is a cultivar of Cryptocoryne wendtii, notable for its longer and more slender leaves compared to the typical form of C. wendtii. Native to Sri Lanka, this plant is known for its green, lance-shaped leaves, which can grow much longer than the standard variety—up to 30–40 cm (12–16 inches) or more under optimal conditions. The leaves of C. wendtii 'Long' have a smooth texture and a glossy sheen, which can sometimes show slight reddish tones when exposed to higher light levels. The plant forms a rosette from a creeping rhizome, and its elegant, flowing leaves make it a striking choice for midground or background positions in aquascapes.
